This is a rare map from one of the most accurate mapmakers of the mid nineteenth century, The Society For The Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. The SDUK maps were published from the 1830's, the earlier maps were only coloured in a faint outline. The later maps from the 1850's were fully hand coloured.
